About Tanque Verde Art Conspiracy

Kevin Rhea is a Tucson (Tanque Verde Valley) based wood artist working with the surrounding reclaimed Sonoran Desert hardwoods (Mesquite, Palo Verde). Each piece is shaped by hand and developed in conversation with the wood itself. His work highlights the natural form & visible history already etched within the woodgrain & growth patterns. Cracks, voids, beetle marks, are preserved rather than corrected, functioning as natural records and subtle points of alignment. No two works have ever been identical.

Rooted in patience and restraint, the work exists at the intersection of function and artifact. These pieces are meant to be lived with; quiet objects that suggest order and recycled purpose within chaos, and meaning revealed through close attention.

A Tanque Verde native with over two decades of carpentry experience, Kevin aligns his focus to appreciate the beauty in the otherwise harsh & unpredictable desert environment. Kevin is able to emphasize both native form and function in every piece, adding bold, natural elegance and mystique to home decor.
